WAS SIND MITESSER?

Mitesser, auch Komedonen genannt, sind eine Art verstopfte Pore. Sie entstehen, wenn sich abgestorbene Hautzellen, Schmutz und überschüssiger Talg in der Pore sammeln.

Blackheads sind offene Komedonen, die wie winzige schwarze Punkte aussehen. Diese schwarzen Punkte sind im Wesentlichen verstopfter Talg, der oxidiert ist, wodurch er sich schwarz färbt.

Whiteheads sind geschlossene Komedonen, die mit einer dünnen Hautschicht bedeckt sind und sich mit einem weißen Punkt auf der Haut bemerkbar machen. Sie sind besonders unangenehm, da sie, anders als die geöffneten Mitesser, zu entzündlichen Hautveränderungen führen können.

WIE UND WO ENTSTEHEN MITESSER?

Innere Mitesser entstehen meist an Stellen mit erhöhter Talgproduktion, wie der T-Zone (Stirn, Nase, Kinn). Vor allem auf der Nase produziert die Haut vermehrt Talg. Wenn dieser Talg nicht durch die Poren entweichen kann, sammelt sich immer mehr Sebum, das sich mit abgestorbenen Hautschüppchen vermischt. Der Talgstau führt zu einem weißen Propf. Kommt dieses Gemisch mit Sauerstoff in Verbindung, entsteht durch Oxidation der ungeliebte schwarze Punkt. Die weißen Mitesser, die unter der Hautoberfläche liegen, bleiben unscheinbarer, stören jedoch optisch die Ebenmäßigkeit des Hautbildes.

Welche Faktoren beeinflussen die Talgproduktion?

Eine vermehrte Talgproduktion kann viele Ursachen haben. Diese können sein:

Genetik
Hormone - durch den Anstieg an männlichen Geschlechtshormonen (Androgenen) im Blut während der Pubertät, hormonellen Schwankungen, wie zum Beispiel in den Tagen vor der Menstruation oder nach Absetzen der Pille
Lebenswandel - Stress, Rauchen, Alkohol
Fettige, ölige Haut
Unregelmäßige Gesichtswäsche
Schweiß

Gründlich Reinigen
